Roman Ramble: A nature walk back in time.

Fri 30 Jul 2021

10:30 am - 13:15 pm

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this short walk around the grounds is ideal for children. Take a tour back in time to the roman landscape, explaining how the land and environment was used and how it has changed. On the way you will hopefully see bees, birds of prey, butterflies, flowers, bugs & beetles and if you are lucky one of the small field mice!

£2 per person (parents/carers free when accompanying a full paying child/children)

Tours start at 10.30am, 11.30am & 12.30pm

No booking required however if the tour is full you will be asked to join the next available one.

Children must be supervised at all times. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing for walking outside during the Great British summer. Sun hats or umbrellas!!

As we are a rural site the ground will be uneven in many areas, with a mixture of gravel/stone pathways and grass trackways with some small inclines. The walk will last 30/40mins. If you require accessible access this tour may not be suitable, however if you are interested please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to discuss alternatives.
