Step back in time and enjoy The Vinalia Rustica: A Roman Celebration of Wine on 19th August 2026.
Inspired by the Roman festival honouring the grape harvest and the god of wine, this evening combines history, storytelling and Mediterranean dining in the unique setting of the museum.
The evening begins at 5:30pm, where guests will receive a warm welcome to the villa from Livia, the Lady of the House, and Galio, the Farm Manager. Together, they will introduce the fascinating history of the Roman Festival of Wine, sharing stories of ancient customs, celebrations and everyday life. Guests will then be invited into the museum with Livia to discover more about her home and gain a unique insight into life in a Roman villa before dinner.
At 6:30pm, everyone will be seated to enjoy a delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal while discovering more about Roman cuisine, wine culture and festive traditions.
